Hi

I bought one of the Breda receivers from SFRC quite some time ago and now I managed to buy a complete parts kit for it from the US.
The barrel is a new criterion but it needs to be reamed and headspaced.

Do you guys know where in the GTA I can get this barrel installed, reamed (30-06), headspaced and receiver parkerized?

Thanks

Thanks, I will check Al Simmons.

It was impossible to get the parts in Canada.
You would have to buy part by part when they popup in EE or a vendor.
I managed to be such a pain in the a$$ of a guy in US that he agreed to sell me his kit and write his invoice as a "One line item" or "Single SKU", this way I could import it as a sinlge item (Garand parts kit) and pay only 50.00 import fees + GST + shipping. My kit will be in Canada in the second week of December because of the importer's schedule.

The US vendor is www.garandguy.com, the contact is Tony and maybe if you mention my name he will remember and do the same package for you. The kit is complete, it's a whole Garand without the receiver. Comes with new barrel and new stock.

You can contact him and he will give you the options to send it to Canada. I believe he works with a non-sponsor importer I cannot mention or Prophet River.

Feel free to PM if you have any other questions.

Cheers

Andre

I talked to hungry and he has only the reamer for 308. My barrel is in 30-06
After so many votes, I decided Nick at Vulval will install barrel, ream, headspace and parkerize the receiver.
After that I'll finish the job with Hungry.

Hungry in Collingwood will let you use his tools and walk you through the process of installing and indexing the barrel and finish reaming it yourself. Well worth the effort and very rewarding to do it with your own hands, (I put together two barreled receivers and finish reamed one at one of his clinics)
