Is there a way of raising the rear sight (Iron Site) with a small washer? I want to keep the rear one low and not worried about breaking it off while checking the targets and the rifle is on my back with a sling.

You can easily enough depress and slide the rear leaf out, remove two screws and take the sight off. I personally have put 2 1/16th thick washers under the sight to raise it at the suggestion of others online. Ive yet to see if it works but the 1/8th inch rise is all you essentially need from what ive learned/seen. You will need to shave down one set of washers to get them to fit, youll see what i mean when you get the leaf and sight off

I did this^^. With 2 washers (generic ones, don't know the thickness) under each screw, my rear sight is at the lowest setting and shoots right on at 25 yards.
