Was wondering what my hommies were using for their rear irons.

Magpul?Troy?DD?

Flip up?non flip?

I was looking to get a new one and was wondering what you guys were using

Hommie shoots gangsta style, no rear sight required. however I use MI, Troy and Magpul because all came with the firearms.

spend the cash on a good set of red dot, BUIS is exactly what the name says it is a Back Up.

Best $90 plus shipping I ever spent and you can buy it directly from them ;)

what can people tell me about flip ups vs non

and if there are any significant differences between Danial Defense and Troys Main line

I decided to go without. Installing the Aimpoint t-1 and dont see the need for backups. Its good for like 8 years continuous use... and Invasion/Zombies are really not a priority. :ninja:

Either DD or Troy are solid products, as well as several others such as Knights, ARMS, Cav Arms, GGandG, and PRI.

The difference between folders and fixed is all a matter of application. If you run an optic then a folding rear is likely a necessity. If you run a reddot and don't mind a partially obstructed view(1/3 co-witness or absolute) then a fixed rear is an option. As for front sights, it doesn't really matter. A fixed FSB is a non issue with magnified optics but some still insist on having a clear FOV. The caveat to this is the use of a tritium front sight and magnified optics. Under low/no light conditions the tritium post will produce a green glow that appears in your optic rendering it useless. For the sake of clean lines and consistency, a lot of folks who run a folding rear also run a folding front.
