Reason for choosing 700P over 10FP??

It is mentionned before, but look at all the police depts. who are using all the Rem. 700 variant. Never seen one using a Savage.

This is similar to security companies using major suppliers that they have always used, even though sevice and prices leave alot to be desired :D sort of like a bad habit.

All the armourers are trained on Rem 700s and 870s. Now I assume they have no problem working on Savages but, without major issues, why change?

Maybe I am reading it wrong, but the " low profile " seems to only be in varmit calibers. The 12bvss does come in 308 and 300wsm as you mention, but it seems to be a slightly different variant. The exact differences elude me, however.
Well hell, one of us can't read  I forgot about the low profile, was thinking 12bvss. Anyhow, from hearsay, the low profile has a wider, less rounded forestock, better for the bags. I can't figure out how its significantly lower in profile though but someone at Savage thought it was important enough to market as such.

Cheers

Lots of police departments use Savage now.

For the cost of the savage you can put jsut about any stock you want on and still come in for the same or less then the Rem 700.
And the Savage has more and more support every day because of their bang for the buck.
