Reasonably priced Holster and Belt for IPSC

You should add least expensive that works and won't fall apart. Going cheap on a holster/belt is the worst mistake you can make. Personally I would go with a Blade Tech or Comp Tec holster and a Wilderness belt if you are talking Production Division.

Take Care

cheapest is a kydex holster and mag holders on a good leather belt. however good i would suggest a CR speed two part belt sold by Freedom Ventures (top left third row.)

you don't say where you are located at so i can't direct you to a closer dealer.

There are 2 ways of doing it - 1) you get cheapest gear, use it for a little while and then you buy better gear; 2) you buy proper gear right off the bat, that fits right, pleasure to use and competitive in all respects.
BladeTech holster is the way to go, CR Speed or Double Alpha two-piece belt is what most IPSC competitors use. Those would be pretty much lifetime purchases. It's a good idea to buy two-piece belt that's 1 size larger that your everyday belt.

Sorry I am located in Newfoundland. Essentially I will be ordering this online. I would love to buy the proper gear, however, as a poor student that is not an option. I am not necessarily looking for the cheapest, just something that is not going to leave me broke.

Blade Tech competition packs are great and cheap too. They ship to Canada, but lots of stores sell bladetech now.

Stay on the cheap side for a holster - a race holster will not make you any faster starting out. A good belt is a great investment though. CR speed is the way to go IMO.

If CHEAP means FOBUS..............then RUN!!

Inexpensive is the clue. In my mind bladetech would be the better bet.

Funny you should quote me on that response. I actually have an older model Fobus for my XD and I like it. I have a newer one for my M&P that I don't care for nearly as much though. I think they changed their design for the worse at some point.

I have heard good things from guys who have Bladetechs.

Unckle Mikes, thats what i used

Uncle mikes Kydex is good as well. I prefer the Blade Tech because of the tech lok feature which makes on and off a snap (hehehehe). The tek lok with a tiny bit of work can be made to fit the uncle mikes too, so Bob is your uncle. I find the Uncle Mikes takes a bit of "finishing" to slicken it up, but it is generally cheaper than the blade tech cost wise, but the blade tech usually comes better finished, usually. If you are using it for IPSC exclusively then you can attach it nicely to the CR speed outer belt with the tech lok and is shouldn't move around on you. I'm not sure if the CR speed belt is IDPA legal, but if not the tek lok makes using your holster on different belts a breeze.

fobus is good. but not great. I got one of them and used it for a good while nothing wrong with it, just not great. i ordered one from comp-tac.com they custom make them to order. great service and great product, unfortunatley not canadian and a wee bit expensive but worth the money.

Just got my gear a few days ago from CZ Custom - shipped to my friend in MI & then picked up. Bladetech DOH, TekLock (just in case), 5 CR Versa pouches and a CR belt. AND a set of thin grips for my Shadow - for $85 I couldn't resist... Came to just over $400 with shipping - not cheap, but should last me a while.
