I have looking to trade my Remington model 7 in 223 for a 350 legend but can't find any. I came across on some info about reberreling a 223 to 350 legend, where in Canada could I get this done?

Getting a Rem 7 barrel in 350 might be tricky but I would contact IBI Barrels. The cost of such a project would greatly exceed the cost of just picking up a Ruger American in 350 Legend. The barrel alone will likely set you back more than the model 7.

I don't see why it would be a tricky job to rebarrel to the 350 Legend, other than finding a smith with a reamer and finding a good barrel of proper diameter.

35 caliber barrels are available but much more difficult to find.

If you're looking to get a smith to do this for you for the present hunting season, Good Luck.

If you really want to get such a job done, purchase a good quality barrel, purchase a reamer and approach a smith to do the job for you. That will bring costs down.

This cartridge headspaces on the case mouth so that won't cause any issues.

The next big issue is that those cartridges aren't commonly stocked anywhere in Canada. If you don't handload???????????

The 350 legend is 9mm or .355" 35cal barrels are typically .358 not sure how much difference that would make finding a proper barrel.

.355 diameter bores are availible in any length up to 30 inches with different twist rates as some air rifles use them with very slow twists.

If the OP handloads, 358 bores won't be a problem.

At first I agreed with your thinking. But now that I have one and reload for it, the plethora of 9mm bullets makes it interesting. I've loaded up some 147gr winchster silvertips that I have yet to try out. was going to use wet newspaper to see how they stand up
to the 350 vel. I have found it to be pretty accurate with just about anything I feed it.
.358" pistol bullets would have been nice to try as there is a large selection of those and a little heavier than the 9mm but it is what it is.
