I picked up a couple of old second gen Iver Johnson revolver. One is in good to excellent condition, the other ...not so.. barrel is badly pitted with very little rifling...it would be good for parts, or rebuild. I have an add on the EE right know looking for parts. The parts are ready available in the US, but of course...its a no-no to bring them in for the US...so I was thinking , could I bore out the barrel and sleeve it in a new cal..or just re sleeve back to 32. I would want to keep the antique status, so would like to do to do right. AND BEFORE anyone says...its not worth it...don't waste your time...etc..etc.. Winter is coming...and I have some long dark days to work on it, I return to work in February...so I have some time to play!! And this is a revolver that isn't worth alot, and I'd Like to try and see what I could do with it. I have a lathe and milling machine and the skill ( I think LOL) So please guys, help me down the road...Could be a good gunsmithing thread!! If you've done something like this in the passed and don't want to reply in an open forum, just drop me a pm any help would be greatly appreciated
