I'm looking to see what the options are on rebarreling a 700 in 22-250. I think the barrel that's on it now is shot out, how hard is it to change caliber? What's needed other then a new barrel?

Since most 22-250 rifles have a 1 in 14 twist, I advertised for a 223 barrel with a 1 in 12 twist.
Shill have not tried anything heavier that 60 grain bullets but the old barrel stabilized the Sierra 60 Grain HP.

.22-.250 and .223 use different bolts, and the feed rail area of the receivers are slightly different.

Sure they are. I was answering the OP's question. Were you?
My .223 barrel was re-chambered to 22-250. Is there anything wrong with that?

Jumping to conclusions is not exercise!

And your post was irrelevant to the OP's question. He asked about a caliber change, not rechambering a barrel to the same caliber he already had.

Just a thought, if the problem is with the throat you might want to try setting back the barrel an re-chambering......
A cheaper fix an you can keep using it as is..... I've set some back 3 times with success .
