I have an old Springfield Trapdoor rifle with 32 in barrel. The outside is pitted quite badly and the rifling is worn with the worst caused by the ramrod in days past. The rifling at the muzzle is near none existant.
Does anyone know of someone who has rebarreled theirs? Or the name of a gunsmith who rebarrels them? lokking maybe to put a 32 inch 1-18 twist on it as the rest of the rifle is not bad at all.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
