I've search on Youtube and didn't find a video related to rebarreling a Ruger Hawkeye MII in any caliber. I am considering having a Ruger RCM 300 from a 20" barrel to a 24" barrel - much like a 300WSM. Looking at getting a bit more velocity and taming the muzzel jump. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Ruger MkII that was rebarelled to .35 Whelen from a .30-06. Any competent gunsmith should be able to do it.
Like bcsteve said any competent gunsmith should be able to do this for you.
Finding the barrel and cal. of choice is the rabbit hole to be concerned about.
For example contact Ellwood Epps and ask them for a recommendation as I see your in Ont. and they are a site sponsor too.

Thanks for your suggestion - I have dealt with Epps over the years for a good share of their wares. I'll give them a call for a reference.

Why do the addition of a brake...? Or is it too pricey to have a longer barrel installed. On a side note, if Ruger could do the rebarrel - I'd probably have them do it. As it would get all the factory stampings that they provide on their barrels.

Installing a brake would be cheaper than replacing the barrel. Easy enough to source a 30 cal blank and have your gunsmith fit and chamber it for you. - dan
