Rebarreling rem mod 8/81 to 7.62x39.

Wow! I never thought about a 7.62x39 conversion of a model 8! That would be incredible! Having a semi auto that you can shoot surplus from without having to tear it down each time would be great, let alone a cheap option! All the regular rounds these were chambered in are none existant, to just stupid expensive now!

I Just wonder if some of the corrosive residue would find it's way down into the magazine after a number of corrosive rounds. That may be not such a good thing, but not terrible as taking the butt stock off and trigger/mag group out isn't that hard at all.

Would love to find a beater to do this conversion with at some point. These are my favourite rifle! I've got 23 of them! Need to find an 8 in 25 Rem, and an 81 in 32 Rem to complete my collection. LOL
