Rebarreling short shotgun-Answered, delete me

Hey gents, I'm mulling over a purchase of a shotgun with a short barrel length ( sub 18.5" ).
Its going to be NEW factory at that length.

I'm curious if I can throw a long barrel on it sometimes, to have some flexibility.


Can I take sub 18.5" shotgun, and put a 28" barrel on it occasionally?

Yes no problem at all with the 12.5 inch shotguns as the magazine tube is standard length.

I have put an 18.5 and 26 inch barrel on my 12.5 Grizzly before without problems.

The 8.5 and smaller shotguns have a non standard length magazine tube on them so a normal barrel will not fot properly.
