Rebluing a double barreled shotgun

Not getting much of a response in the gunsmithing section, so a repost here:

A cowoker approached me today wanting to know where he could get a double bbl shotgun reblued. Has minor rust and pitting.

Anyone have any suggestions and contact #'s for gunsmith that can do a good job with doubles? There are no local gunsmiths in our area

Saw your other post, 1 st question what is the shot he wants done,
If a high end one , could be worth it , common everyday one, I would not do
it as it will cost more than the shot gun is worth

Chas,

Lots of guys here in Ontario. What kind of gun is it? Newer (brazed) guns can be hot blued, everyone does this, classics require rust blue, still several choices in Ontario.

Jason Spencer @ Gunco in Ottawa......Google it and you'll find his #. I had Rem. 760 reblued there and was happy with the price and work. It cost me about $200.

Why not try and do it yourself. It's not that difficult. Lots of posts on it. A little elbow grease and some knowledge can go a long way.
