I recently bought a 91/30 and it appears the Ruskies bungled the refurbishing process and added a bunch of patchy crap to the top of my barrel. Everything else about the rifle is great. Would it be expensive to get it refinished? Could I do it myself without a bunch of extra equipment? Much to the dismay of the guys at the counter, I spent a good half hour going through Mosins until I found this one. Only place I failed to check was under the furniture... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
