A couple of weeks ago, there was a post from a Canadian gunshop which was importing M1 Garands rebuilt on USGI receivers with new barrels and stocks, and USGI parts. Does anyone remember the name of this shop and/or the USA rebuilder?

Many thanks!

For the money it will cost you to import one in, why not buy local? You can talk to Pocketfisherman, toyboy or me. Let us know what you need. Currently I got 2x 5mill receiver, 1X 1mill 1X2mill SA receivers. Would come with boyds stock, either NOS SA55 30/06 barrel or criterion 308 up to you.

Mine came with a SA barrel...thought it was gonna be Criterion. So pretty much the only thing new is the furniture. Really nice rifle.

They are nice rifles, but they are not doing anything special that a few of us aren't already doing up here. I would put one of my Garands up against a JRA refurb anyday.

What's the going rate for one of your builds? Feel free to pm me a price if you'd rather.

There are a few of the danish military rebuild's available also. When it comes to barrel's, there are SA's, Marlin's, and VAR's all mint to new available to go with Breda receiver's or SA's. There is also ww2 10" bayonet's.

Do the Canadian sellers do in-house parker? I might be interested in restoring another rifle that needs a new reparker, but I don't know where to send it?

If not, Armacoat offers both Zinc and Manganese parkerizing at very reasonable prices. I had them redo a WW2 1903 rebuild recently and it came out beautifully.
