The gun is going to stay pretty much stock....but I hate the factory grip. Anyone have a reccomendation/source for a nice comfortable grip?

While I'm talking about it....the tube on my Armalite....is it "mil-spec" or the skinnier one. The 6 pos stock on it is rattly as hell....replacement ideas?

I bought a stripped lower and a M15 buttstock and it came with a "GI tube" which is MilSpec. You can measure the outside diameter and it caliper and IIRC it should be about 1.148. Mine is a 6 Position with the M4 stock and it rattles like hell aswell. I plan on getting another stock like a VLTOR or LMT or something which should help cut down on the rattle.

I have a MagPul MIAD which I and many others like because it comes with 3 back straps and two front straps to help it fit your hand. The Falcon Ergo looks nice aswell.

Magpul Miad

I had the Falcon Ind. Ergo grip that came with a lower, it was the overmolded rubber type. Very comfortable, came with a battery storage compartment. I swapped it with an A2.

The MIAD is a good grip like the others say. I've handled one at the range on someone else's gun and it was nice. The storage compartment is a bonus too...

I run one of the Hogue grips on mine and I like it alot as well. I would have gone MIAD, but the Hogue was half the price (~$20). Not as good as the MIAD no doubt, but far better than the standard A2 grip at any rate.

I like the MIAD too. Another to try is the Tango Down Grip. I'd recommend to try before you buy if you can.
For a collapsing stock, I like the Magpul CTR

I had a Falcon industries Ergo grip. It was very comfortable but lacked storage space. I replaced it with a Magpul MIAD. My stock is a Magpul M93 in OD. an excellent stock but it requires the replacement of your buffer tube/receiver extension. The CTR looks to be the choice of champions without breaking the bank.

Here's some pics of my MIAD grip. I opted to remove the grip core as the one I wanted was unavailable. Not to mention other cores are expensive. Without a core I am able to store a spare bolt, firing pin, bolt cam pin and three spare firing pin retaining pins with room to spare.

The Hogue is a nice grip,, nice rubber non-slip feel to it and it doesn't increase the distance to the trigger.

There is also the First Samco G27 which you may find better for you, as it will increase the distance to the trigger.

I've used them both,, and still do.

I really like the MIAD.

One thing to remember with increasing distance to the trigger it is also making tmore awkward to rotate the safety. While shooting prone or matches its not a big deal -- but working with it - It is a HUGE issue.

Also I use my rifle 99% of the time with gloves - so the grip contour in the Hogue and others are usless to annoying.

KAC 600m - but one of the special one ;) -- large 300m BIS style aperature, so its still good for CQB and you can put the plastic disk thingy in if you really want.

I've been debating replacing it with a Troy -- but I figure why donate another gunpart to the GWOT when this one works fine.
