Reccomend book for central flyway

Hit Chapters or any other well stocked book store, and have a look at the bird books.

Yeah, I know about Chapters and their anti-gun ownership, but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

In any case, there are a fair few decent books out there, some with photos, some with other artwork (paintings, line drawings). Find the one that you like.

I had a book called "Ducks at a Distance" years ago and it covered everything. I see it is available on Amazon.

I looked on amazon as well but it appears that it is black and white and really cheaply constructed, certainly wouldn't stand up in the field. The good news is this publication is public domain so full colour pdf files of this classic are easily found online.

Ducks at a distance has very useful information. It is the best single reference I have ever found. Colour pictures are nice, for identifying birds in hand. You seldom see colours clearly in the field.
