I just got a 10/22 and could use some helpful advise.
Where can I get the Ruger 10/22 10rd rotatory mags?
and who makes and carries the best 25-30 rd banana mags?

Rimfiresports sells rotary mags, Buttler Creek are good steel liped 25 round mags. Some may complain about there plastic liped ones but I have not had a problem with tem.

Tactical Innovations TI-25 mags. Fully adjustable for the feed and you can take them appart to clean.

Looks like Fabsports might have stock.

I've tried and never really liked the banana mags. For a few of us the mag sticking out that far just gets in the way and I find it very troublesome. Fortunately I found what I think is the best of the best. I bought some "TRI-MAGS" from someone on the EE forum and liked them so much I eventually purchased several of them. This is just a block that joins together your own 10 round magazines 120 degrees apart. Not only does this keep the mags closer to the rifle but it also allows you to pull the group of 3 mags down and out of the receiver for a quick change. Now you have 30 rounds available using some good quality mags and no hanging banana dangling out in never land.

I've tried the Tri-Mag and found it takes up more horizontal space than a banana mag. (plus it looks like you got a peace sign hanging off the middle of your rifle  )
Just buy a 25 round Tactical Innovations mag. No fuss, no stopping to change 3 times, just 25 rounds of pure bliss...:D

Source for Sports in Brooks has a bunch of BC Steel feed-lip 25 rounders for sale, priced high at 49.99 a piece, but its local. Also, The Outdoorsman in Medicine Hat has quite alot of them priced at 39.99 a piece, they also have factory rotary mags and tri-mags there as well. I personally wouldnt waste your money on the BC Hot Lips mags, Ive got 5 of them....and they all suck.

I got a couple of Butler Creek 25s from Wholesale Sports in Edmonton. The problem with these other than not being able to be disassembled is that on some rifles, they have feeding problem. My friends has a Stainless Synthetic 10/22 a few years old and the mags work fine. On my brand new blued synthetic, the mags would not chamber rounds. I googled the problem and there was a PDF with various problems for different mags. Turns out I had to file down the back edge of the metal on the mag. Works fine now. I suppose that with all the different versions and model years of the 10/22 and all the different aftermarket mags, it is kind of hit and miss.

The way I look at it, is the 10/22 is a cheap way for a big kid to have fun. The 10/22 and its accessories aren't high quality , so you will eventually come into problems. You need a little bit of luck to see what works for you, but as long as you are having fun with it, keep on going.

I have 6 Butler Creek steel lip magazines and a mag loader and have used them regularly for the past 9 years. They are still working great. Mind you I don't drop them on concrete or abuse them. If I want to practice quick mag changes or anything like that I use my AR-15. I've never felt the need to train with my 10/22 that way.

I have two BC with steel lips, nothing but problems, one prevents my bolt from closing after the first round, the other won't feed. Got a plastic lip version and it works 98% of the time. Funny how the lips on the steel version are waaaaaaaayyyyy taller than the plastic ones... Good one BC.

tri-mag looks like a set of balls hanging below your gun

Can someone put up a pic of the tri mags? I have never heard of or seen them before.

I have 4 BC 25 round mags. 2 steel lips, 2 plastic lips and all 4 work just fine. Although my BC quickloader for these mags has been giving me problems latley.

Danimal247, tri-mag looks like a set of BALLS hanging below your gun! That is REALLY funny, still got a grin on my face. (Have to watch it though, my wife is here, best not let her see me smiling.)
