I'm having diffulty locating the page that you print out, sign and leave for Canpar or Ups when they attempt to deliver while at you're at work or not home. I looked all over Canpars website and can only find a brief mention of the option but no page or pdf to print. Can someone help my blind ass out please... I need some ammo and chances are I'll be at work when it's delivered and I don't want it heading back to Vancouver on the ferry if I am...

I know with Purolator all you have to do is put a note on your door to saying the driver can leave the package. Also you MUST sign it. Maybe it's the same for the other 2.

For CanPar it's tied into your tracking number, it's not a generic page that's printed out.
It will print out a bar code etc that you leave on your door

UPS the part is on the back of the note they leave on your door if your not home . you can register on their site , to fill out the form but have to wait in the snail mail for ups to send you a password for full access .
Some things must be signed for in person and cannot be left regardless if you sign a form or not .

UPS would not leave ammo on my step , had to be there in person to complete delivery .

Not sure with can par.

My next ammo order is getting sent to where I work , Ill just take it home at the end of the day

I just placed an order to be delivered by Canpar, and when I wasn't home to sign for it they left a notice for pickup at their depot about an hour away. If I wanted it to be delivered again I would have had to pay a $10.00 plus tax delivery charge.

Plus Invoice / transaction number reference usually

Canpar doesn't need this. I just did it a few days ago. I was still at work and they had to call me because the shipper used my po box instead of physical address. I said what if I'm not home because I don't want to drive all the way into city to get it. I was told a note and signature left at the door including where exactly to leave the package and it was all good. They won't open doors or things like that but I had parts and other items left behind wooden gate to my fence as requested.

In saying the above the advice of referencing a tracking is probably best. They outsource anything out of town and I had just come around corner with dog and watched him go to 3 wrong houses then go to my gate lol. Probably the more info the better

I just call and find out how much he duty is, pre pay it by phone with card and tell them to change the computer to tell the drivers note to say to leave it.
Or
A large note with date and signature that says "I so and so am signing this as acceptance of package, please leave the package" with a cheque for the duty
