It was inevitable I guess.
The 303 British was out of the question from the get go. I have a recent spending splurge on BP firearms. Some newer to me cap and ball revolvers with a recent drive on SxS shotguns.

I have already a customized FN K98 action, in 458x2inch and on the opposite end a small bore Mauser ES350B in 22 LR.

So, a rifle or carbine in original military dress and in caliber 7x57 or 8x57mm was long overdue.
The quality older stuff has my attention as of late.
Not sure why, but there it is folks.

Now I need to find some errant feral wild boar to......

Someone who owned it before me sanded off the cartouche. It's also easy to guess sometime in the recent past it was fully reblued.

Very unfortunate about the stock cartouche!

Edit: It is very accurate with the correct ammunition.
A very good friend of mine once shot a 1.20 inch group on a windless day, from a rest and using now discontinued PMC Moderators using this very fine small bore rifle. (Scoped @100 yards)

The bore is crazy tight. I use a Tipton 17 caliber cleaning rod and a 20 caliber jag to safely clean this long beast.

I have the Ms 350B and as yours, it is also missing the original rear sight. I'm running the same one. I think its off a Walther mod V
I wouldn't be concerned about the reblue it looks like a top notch job.

Much thanks for the additional info.

Have you shot yours at 100 yards or further then that?
And if you did, what ammunition did your own Mauser seem to shoot best??

curious as there are not very many of these around........

Very Nice Gaff!

Much kudos acquiring the one which appears to be with and original scope and mount, and the other with the second tang sight.

Lovely little rifles indeed! (little bores but heavy) lol

Edit: Do my eyes deceive me? Or is that a small bore Mauser magazine repeater in caliber 5.6x35R Vierling, second from the right??

Well done sir!

You have a very fine collection right there. Read considerable cash investment that took some time and dedication to build!

Thank you for sharing it here Gaff.
