Recent purchase, Swiss G11

I think I might have impulse control issues. I saw this Swiss G11 and just bought it on the spot. I am quite partial to Swiss rifles as I have a K31, K11 and a .22 caliber trainer. Looking forward to the next range trip. From the serial number it appears to have been manufactured in 1917. The soldier tag says the rifle was first issued to Karl S........ (I am just not good at deciphering these soldier tags). Karl was born in 1898, so he would probably have been 18 or 19 years old when he was issued this rifle.

My favourite Swiss rifle variant! I find the Gewehr 1911s are a blast, and more accurate (likely more due to the longer sight radius than anything else). Nice find!

Most people don't realize that the G11 is more accurate than the K31.I have a target version of the 96/11,my favorite Swiss rifle.

I think you mean the G11, A.K.A. Lg11 (Langes Gewehr 11), not K11(Karabiner 11)
I have a 96/11 and really enjoy it. K11 is really nice but not as accurate with my older eyes.
