Rechambered .38 spc ok?

Looking at a Colt SAA in .38 special.

This cartridge isn't on the magic list but I imagine .38 Long colt will fire, would this then be a no go?

EDIT This Thred is incorrect 38 Sp is in fact a OK Caliber. THE CFC have decided that a gun made before 1898 and chambered for the 38 Sp is in fact AOK as a Perscribed antique i have got RCMP letters on a bunch of SAA colts that were converted to 38 Sp.

41 LC is about it in colt SAAs
Less you can find a rare 450 or 455 chambered one.

Some Custom Antique Colt SAAs are available in 44 Special they also shoot 44 Russian.

Hard to find tho. Usally done on a 165000 and up Ser #ed Frames.

If you're asking is it an antique. No it isn't. And no you can't shoot .38 Long Colt in it. It'd cost you far less to shoot .38 Specials anyway.
