So I see Rossi has released a new single shot carbine

Having only 9mm in my inventory it got me curios if I could rechamber one of the .357 to 9mm. Bore is within .002" and I've read it's been done by guys with revolvers.
Being a break action with an extractor though I am not sure how that part would work. Especially with 357 being rimmed and 9mm rimless.
Has any one seen similar done on other brand single shot break actions?

For what it will cost, be cheaper just to run 38 spl. Because setting back the chamber will run into headspace, the locking mechanism and also shortenering a already under 18" barrel issues.

Basically you gotta shorten it by the breech end. And most those single shots the extractor, locking and hinge are soldered onto the barrel.

Ya I totally overlooked case length.
Thanks for bursting my bubble guys lol

.357 is arguably the better option all around. You can load it nasty, and you don't have to futz around with janky half baked solutions trying to extract a rimless cartridge in a breech loader.

I think I'll hold out till someone brings in the 300Blackout version and begin my foray into loading that round since I have tons of 223 brass I can process over for it.
Really, really hope we see suppresors in our future for a rifle like this.
Bulleyes North saying Aug 20th for the Rossi LWC pre order.
