Hey guys I just wanted to know if this was even possable having a 300wsm bored out to a 325wsm if so who close to Prince George can do it and what does it cost to have it done?

My question would be if there was even enough metal to go from .308 to .323...

The most feasible would be to trade or sell it and get a .325wsm. Course if you went to a .350RM it would be a different story...:D

Flog the .300 WSM & buy a rifle in .325 WSM.

My .02...

I wouldn't spend the time and money on a factory barrel. I'd go buy a new match barrel that's already in 8mm, and have it chambered and installed. Would run you $500-600, and I can't see a re-bore being significantly cheaper given the labour intensiveness

Ya i'm finding this out slowly i've phoned around the closest place that would be able to help me is coralanes up in dawson. I wanna turn a weatherby vanguard into a 325 I absolutly love the rifles they have never let me down and their comfortable to me.

Corlane would probably send your barrel to Ron Smith for a rebore. I think you need minimum 0.020" difference so you couldn't do it. What you could do is order a new Ron Smith barrel (or maker of your choice) and just rebarrel your beloved vangaurd. Be prepared to wait a while. Perhaps a shilen or mcgowan from mystic would be faster.

I've had a couple of rebores done by Steve Holborn of Warren, ON and I've been happy with them. I had a .35 Whelen and a .358 Norma Mag done up and I think they're great. As far as it being "worth it", that depends on how bad you want it. I have some guns that I may have spent too much on, but in the end, I have them and their mine and that is what I wanted. The money only matters when you actually pay for it. After that, it's all about the enjoyment.
