well its not for a bird:redface:..any ways;)
what do you guys stuff your home made targets for bows with???im thinking of a box about 3 ft square and about 8 inches thick..
ideas all:)

The last one I made was from a 20"x 20" box from a flat PC monitor and it was about 6" thick. I filled it, packed it solid more like, with more sheets of cardboard. We had just moved, so had lots of boxes around. Anyway, I simply cut each piece to fit inside and layered them in until it was full, closed the box, taped it shut and taped paper targets to the face. This worked great. We fired my crossbow and my buddy's compund at it for a couple hours from 15 to 25 yards with no problems.

I use feed bags, and stuff them as tight as I can with plastic grocery bags, or shavings bags. I know people with horses, so these are easy to come by for me. When the feed bag gets to shot up, I just stuff it all into another one. Works good. Usually Duct tape the snot out of the top of it to keep everything in place. I Duct taped an entire bag once, but the adhesive on the tape messed up the graphite bolts. Easily stops field points, but broadheads go through, so I have some 4" thick styrofoam insulation that I put behind feedbag target when I use them for sighting in. Cheap and effective.:D

The best and cheap is potato sack, stuffed with plastic shrink wrap, just take your sack to any trucking outfit and ask someone on the dock for some used shrink wrap from the garbage, pack it tight and twist the top and tie off with rope, I have 3 I made this way, and when the sack wheres out I just put into another sack, you can spray paint target on or stick on one's. Mine have been outside for at least 3 years and work great
