I have searched this topic and there is a lot of info on it but cannot find a specific answer to my question.
I would like to know if the form I need to fill out is the form CAFC 804 and if I can do this without a verifier.
I can give the new barrel measurement and have read somewhere that I need to take the prohib barrel into my local police Dept for disposal. I need to take pics of both barrels and send pics with form.
Is this the process, or am I missing something.
Has anyone done this and if so what do I need to do to reclassify my pistol.

You can take it to a verifier, it's free. Call the CFO and see who is the closest. Local gunsmith is probably a verifier.

Ok that works. If I call CFC they probably can give me some direction as to filling out the proper form and who my closest verifier is then. Thanks

I have reclassed a couple that where registered wrong, I had to email pictures of the measurements I was taking and send to Ottawa, look a while, And I am a verifier, don't seem to matter, LOL.
You will have to turn in the barrel you take off.
BTW, are you doing this your self? if so phone first and they will tell you what to do.
I don't see the point of the picture of the old barrel, but with them HTHK.

Were they the Erma 22s? I just reclassified one.

I barreled 2 walther PPK by myself to have them restricted. I had to email some pictures with a tape beside the gun to confirm the barrel length and caliber. That was a pretty simple prosses in my case.

No they are pistols. I called and have to have a verifier measure the new barrel and turn in the old ones.
When I complete the process I may post here again and go through each step to help with anyone else looking to do this.
We have to save as many of these prohibs as possible so they don’t get chopped up
