I have a Remingtom 760 with a factory butt-plate (no pad). The butt of the stock has a slight curve to it. Is there a recoil pad (grind-to-fit or pre-fit) that I can install without having to cut the stock flat?

If you put a standard recoil pad in lightly boiling water for about 10 minutes you can then curve it to fit. Just flex it gently against the curve of the stock. You can actually over curve it a slight amount by lifting the ends a bit while maintaining pressure in the center against the stock and eventually allow screw pressure to flatten the ends rather than curve it too little. Hold in place while it cools and sets in that shape. Did I mention it will be hot and gloves are a good thing?
