Recoil pad for Tikka T3 lite?

I have a Tikka T3 Lite in 30-06. The recoil is pretty fierce for prolonged shooting, and I would also like an extra couple of cm on the stock.

Can anyone recommend a good recoil pad for the T3 Lite? The one that comes with the rifle is pretty average.

There is a specific Limbsaver pad that fits the T-3, but unfortunately I don't know the model number. The difference between the stock pad and a Limbsaver is like night and day!

Limbsaver makes a Precision-fit pad for the Tikka T3 (no grinding involved). Model number 10112. I just sold one to a fellow GunNutter.

the other option is to add a pound or so of lead into the stock. If you're doing walk and stalk in up and down ground, a very light rifle makes sense, but for normal hunting, most of us would never get much accuracy from a rifle that lossens snot and wobbles eyeballs!

Ditto on the Limbsaver #10112, same pad I've got on my T3Lite in 300WSM. Made a world of difference.

I have installed Decelorator pads on a few of them... they work very well and look very nice as well......
