Does anyone here know what aftermarket recoil pad I would need for a Remingoton 870 with a ShurShot stock? I recently purchased one, but it has a hard rubber pad on it. I have looked at the Remington, Limbsaver, and Pachymar sites, but can only find product numbers for a regular sysnthetic stock. Are the stocks the same shape? Can i use a pad for a regular stock on my Shurshot stock?

Thanks for your help.

my shurshot came with a thick foam recoil pad, i love it. maybe you can buy an old shurshot with the foam pad.

FWIW, I have an R3 recoil pad on my 870 Marine Magnum... and it provides a level of comfort that I never knew existed on a 12 gauge. A few weeks ago I burned through ten 2-3/4 inch Challenger magnum slugs in a few minutes without a hint of discomfort. Highly recommended

Ummm... it should come stock with a decent pad based on its purpose... if not then get a limbsaver as mentioned earlier... or deal with what you have... how many shots would you take with that after sight in?..... get it sighted in and live with the stock

Since my original post I bought a SuperCell pad. It's decent, but IMO not as effective as a Limbsaver.

I'll live with it though, it is still MUCH better than the hard rubber it came with.
