RECOIL PAD

Need a recoil pad for my marlin 1895, whats the best out there, is there one made for the 1895 without sanding it down, what have you guy's used and what works? Thanks BB.

can't go wrong with either a Limbsaver R3 pad or a Pachmayr Decelerator

badbrass, Pachmayr makes their Decellerator pad in a version ground to fit the factory Marlin stock.

Just take the old one off, and put the new one on. I have one and it turns it into a pussy cat.

It isn't as perfect a fit as if you ground it yourself on the rifle, but is acceptable, and no chance of scuffing the stock either.
