Recoil Pads

I have an Older SAKO 75 hunter in .338 Win Mag, and im looking for a Pachmyr Decelerator or Limbsaver Precision fit recoil pad. I cant seem to find them on there websites for this particular gun except the finlight model, but i know there is one out there as my friend has the same gun with the pachmyr on it.

Any help would be great. i dont have much for tools so a grind to fit is not goin to work well for me.

I've been through both web-sites a number of times ...

Microsoft's search engine "Bing" will turn-up both "Pachmayr" and "Simms Limbsaver" for you.

As far as I can recall, the Pachmayr Decelerators are either "grind to fit" or "slip-on"...
I've not seen a "Precision Fit" ( i.e. for a specific firearm without fitting).

Simms Limbsaver have "Precision Fit" listings for several models ...but not
the Sako 75 Hunter.

Not saying such doesn't exist... but I've not seen one either after a thorough search. Best ask your friend exactly what, where, when & how he got his for a 75 Hunter !

My bet would be on the 10011 limbsaver, but you can print off the template and match it to your stock before you buy.

It doesn't look like Pachmayr makes a pre-fit pad for the Sako...

Don't buy a slip-on pad...

Perhaps the 10011 Limbsaver ... if both the 75 Finnlight and the 75 Hunter have the same buttstock profile. Any pad that would go directly on a 75 Hunter certainly wouldn't match the 85 Finnlight as the top of the pad has a considerable curve to it.

With the 10011 also fitting the Ruger All-Weather, I wonder if this particular pad design isn't intended to fit with a recessed edge fitting into the synthetic stock as opposed to the flat base type pad for the standard wood stock ?

Please let us know how you make out...

Its flat on the back. I've had a few 10011's here, but none at the moment. Best thing to do is print and match the templates anyway...
