Recoil Reducers

o.k. want a poor mans recoil reducer? 3" piece copper pipe. 5/8 " OD. fill with molten lead. when cool, put it in the stock bolt hole. wrap it with electrical tape to fit snug in the hole. drill a hole in the outside end into the lead. screw in a 1/4 " screw eye and bend it over til the recoil pad fits snug. this in case you have to remove the stock. take a pair needle nose pliers and straighten the screw eye and pull it out. the actual reducer works a little better because the mercury moves with the recoil but they are fairly expensive. you can do the same thing with lead shot, the only problem is the shot will eventually crack the butt plate or loosen the recoil pad. my citori has an oval shaped hole so it has to be filled in with somethingaround the reducer or drill a slightly larger than 5/8 " hole above.
