Would like to reduce recoil. Any experience with the Max Recoil Reducer (tube)? Primarily read about them in the context of shotguns, why not rifles?

Also like the idea of the Shrewd and R3E2C brakes (not direct gasses towards scope or ground) but still louder...

How close will the Max get in reduction to a brake?

How much more recoil reduction can I expect from a better pad / additional slip on pad?

Or just keep it simple and get a past pad?

Get a kick eeze, R3, or limbsaver recoil pad. If you can't shoot it without a break you should get a smaller rifle.

If you are shoot at the range, a past magnum pad, along with a quality pad like R3, pachmyer or limbsaver will help a lot. Taking one or two shots at game won't matter. If you can't shoot at game without a muzzlebrake, then you have too much gun.

Thus no experience with the MAX... Could see a draw back there in a delayed/secondary recoil but the writeups on them are interesting (inertia damper in the stock).

As have no recoil pad on any of the rifles may start there.

Advantage of PACT is can use one for more than one rifle but its also another (loose) piece of kit. Doubt will need both PACT and pad but will see. Also liked it for not having to mess around fitting a pad.

Tylenol is ineffective against bruising. At least the bruising shows that positioning of stock is correct and the groups show no flinching but if I want to get bruised will look to do it another way.
