Hi Folks, I made the foolish mistake of climbing aboard the hype train and pre-ordering a BCL. Now I'm stuck with a gun that has nearly halved in value compared to purchase price.

Lesson learned....

Since I'm stuck with it, I've not much choice than to try and make the damn thing shoot.

My only issue with it is that it shoots minute-of-barn. Changing optics, BUIS, ammo changes, nothing shrunk groups down past 8-10 MOA at best. As the rest of the rifle seems to function well enough, this leads me to believe the barrel is better fitted to the duties of a sewer pipe.

I am new to building AR style rifles so as such am looking for info on barrels available for it, what barrels are compatible, things to watch for, and general how-to or things I'll need.

Also as a side note, I did contact warranty. They asked for the calibre etched on the barrel, which I gave them, and it's been about 2 months of radio silence since. I think I've given up on these a$$hats.

Try not to turn this into a flame thread, I already know I made a mistake, I'm just trying to get the info needed to make the best of a sh!tty situation.

Thanks!

Any DPMS style AR10 barrel will work.
I am pretty new to building AR's as well, I turned and chambered my own barrel in 7-08 from a Shilen blank and its been great. Obviously that isn't something everyone can do on their spare time.
Before I decided to do that I was going to order a McGowen from Jerry at Mystic. Check out their website for options and get Jerry to order it.
A friend of mine has an IBI barrel on his BCL, so far neither of us are all that impressed with it. It's wayyy better than the factory barrel but it doesn't shoot as well as 3 of 4 Stag's I've gotten to play with. (My Shilen barrel, a factory Stag 308 barrel, and some other AR match barrel in 6.5 creed)

I have minimal experience with all of the barrels that are being sold as precision AR barrels (all the brands that I don't recognize from the bolt gun world) unless I knew who was supplying the blank I would personally avoid it. But like I said minimal experience.

I had issues right off the get go with FTF and FTE and my BCG contacting my upper receiver gouging the sh*t out of it. They emailed me out a shipping label and off it went, with about a 2.5 week turn around with shipping on their dime both ways. The rifle came back with new upper receiver. Now it cycles properly and is an accurate and seemingly reliable rifle. Why don't you re-email them for a shipping label and send it back for a new barrel. BCL needs to be held accountable for a sub-par product. They need to improve as a business and be able to figure out why their products are defective. BTW the barrel I have on mine is a decent shooter so it may be worth your time.....Just saying!

This.
Just contact them again and see if they'll make it right.
Dont spend anymore of your money or change anything that would void the warranty until you get an answer from them.

I swaped to a maple ridge armory 20" 6.5 creedmore barrle and im very pleased with the results. They have a bunch of differnt length .308 and 6.5 barrels i would do it again of given a do over.

Fixing it yourself is letting them take your money for a sh!t product and then wash their hands of any responsibility. If every person who got a poor example of the product sent them back BCL would be forced to either start doing sh!t right or go out of business. Either of those options is completely ok with me.

There is no participation award in the firearms manufacturing world. People's lives are at stake, if they can't get their sh!t together then they should be out of business.
I love how they have an aerospace division. I don't know how or why anyone would ever voluntarily get into anything with BCL/NEA parts in it that is supposed to leave the surface of the planet?
