Anyone recommend a Beavertail Grip safety for the Norinco 1911A1 Govt. I am replacing the spur hammer with a lightweight competition hammer to speed up the lock time and the beavertail to get the hand higher and to stop the hammer bite.

I don't want to have the frame altered so drop in or closest to drop in a must though I'm having it installed by a smith to get it right.

Anyone that has done a drop in beavertail what did you use and where did you purchase it?

Help suggestions appreciated.

Drop in BT is a pretty gross fit, you will have a big gap between the tang and BT. May as well get it done properly if you are taking it to a smith anyway. It's not a huge deal to have one fit properly...EGW or the Wilson Bulletproof line are nice machined (not mim) parts.
Here is what a drop in BT looks like.

I'd even go a step further and say dump the Nork on the EE instead of pouring money into it. You can get a SAM from Wolverine with all the upgrades you are after for $450....you will be into the Nork for more then that with just the hammer and BT and still have ####ty sights on it.
SAM....
