Recommend a Chrony

I use a Beta Chrony as well and it does what its supposed to, it sets up fast and seems to be pretty reliable so far.
My Chrony is a blue, Beta unit I believe. It will do my archery and all my firearms. The thing I did not get was the Master level, because you get more control and a remote unit, money I should have spent. The Chrony line is fantastic, dollar freindly compared to others and well worth buying.

I have the master beta. Easier for me to read with the remote on the bench beside me.
I recently bought a MagnetoSpeed strap-on chrony. I don't have any experience with others so nothing to compare it to, but it seems to be accurate and consistent in both the rifle and shotgun loads I've used so far.
Pro's
-setup can be done on the bench
-can still be used to fire at multiple targets, does not affect accuracy (but does apparently affect POI)
-can store many different shot strings, calculates all your averages, sd, etc (I imagine most/all do this too?)
-not affected by any weather conditions and can be used even in the dark
-Very portable
Con's
-takes more time to switch between guns
-I had some minor issues getting mine to work properly first time, seem to have been resolved now
-doesn't work with my Savage 24 combo
-Has to be re-adjusted sometimes, as recoil pushes the bayo forward
I'm hoping to run into someone at the range with a different chrony some day and compare results/accuracy

If cost doesn't matter to much, get an Oehler 35, the rest just don't compare
The Oehler is old technology.
If you really want the best, most accurate, get a Kurzzeit PVM-21. The Oehler doesn't compare... (oooooh, but the price of the Kurzzeit)
Too funny
. There is always something better ....I'm considering the MagnetoSpeed but kicking myself that I didn't get it at the Lowe introductory price last year.
