Recommend a hard case for carrying two AR's

This is what i bought from Sail a couple of months ago. I think it was on sale for 30-40 bucks. I don't have any optics but it hold my DA556 (Norinco/chinese AR), my ruger 10/22, and my Winchester 12g, and it has 3 spots for locks. Works decent, especially for the price, and i don't have to carry 3 single cases with me everywhere.

I have the same case as crenom. I can fit my SAP6, Ruger 10/22, 2 hand guns and all the spare mags for each firearm in the case with room to spare. I can also put full paper targets in it without having to fold it.

When in doubt, go to any store that sell's these cases and ask them to put a few rifles/shotguns in it to see if it will work for you.

Go with either Pelican Storm Case IM3300 for a comfortable fit, or IM3200 for a compact fit. The best case money can buy in my opinion. Here is a pic of the IM3200.

Grandson gave me a nice one, it's made by Flambeau ( pillarlock), can fit 3 rifles in it, quality case... JP.

Dont go with a Plano double rifle hard case with wheels if you hope to actually fit 2x AR's inside. It's a great case but only way I could get 2x AR's inside would be to split the upper/lowers and maybe then they might fit.

It's hard to beat the Pelican 1750. Mine takes my AR, my VersaMax 12 and four pistols in rugs all tightly fit together. Too heavy to carry that way but I use it for short term "storage".

Another vote for the Pelican 1750. It's a secure fit and you won't have to worry about anything loose and rubbing

This is all I have handy for pics but should give you an idea of the size. Rifle sports a 16" barrel

I'm running a Pelican 1720 for the 2 AR's and a pistol. I put the foam (still uncut) aside in the basement closet. I use all kinds of soft cases or 3 Gun cases that protect the double AR's for the CQB matches at Base Borden. :)

Remember how someone on this forum asked, "What spare parts are needed for an AR15 in competitions?" :p

Well, my answer to that is ANOTHER AR... :dancingbanana:

Actually, I'm running a 14.5" and a 10.5" set of AR's !

Oh yeah, for my PR rig, I'm running another Pelican, but a 1750 instead. Google the dimensions, both interior and exterior. Buy once, cry once! Better yet, quit drinking and there's your SKB / Pelican / Explorer/ Plano / Uncle Mike's....

Cheers and keep helping them noooobies out there

Pelican 1720 for 18" AR barrel or less, with collapsed stock. 20" might fit on an angle with stock collapsed, but you wont fit two guns. 1750 for anything longer. Get the convoluted/interlocking foam, so you can adjust the rifles in the case and use it for multiple combination of firearms.

My two AR's fit in this aluminum Plano case, I got it used but can't find a current online place that has them. The one I did find (out of stock) had it listed as a Plano PLN-14 Protector, it's the 48" Gun Case: Dimensions: 48" long x 13" wide x 4.5" thick. It's pretty well made, has four locks and takes a beating in my trunk.

3 rifles? I had trouble fitting two in that case at times.
fyi, purolater broke the handle and lost it on me when I was shipping a rifle from AB back to myself on PEI, I contacted the case company and they sent me a new handle free of charge.
