First i had try is the LEE. Hard to beat for the price. Yeah, it's not easy to use it. but once you got it right, the job is done!
I had try the pencil one too, and it's my favorite one. No need of a press, you can bring it with you anywhere you want to, when you buy lead from unknow sources.
Cheaper than any other hardness tester, quicker to use too.
If i had to start again with alll i had learn, the pencil kit would be my onlyone!
