Recommend a scout scope

Looking to mount a scope at the rear sight position on my mosin. I don't want to have to drill and tap for a mount and then have to do a bent bolt. Looking for a scout/long eye relief scope that won't break the bank.

Dont. Use the irons. Scout scope makes no sense on a big clunky rifle....

How's it handle the recoil?

I use the irons now but beyond 100 I have no chance. My eyes aren't what they used to be so an optic is a must

I personally think if you will scope a mosin you should do the permanent change the right way. Get a nice repro scope from corwin arms or off the ee. They look badass and are actually designed for the rifle.
