Looking at a KSG, 26 inches long, 13 rds and 7-8 lbs.

Is there anything close to this for a NR shotgun? I've read the review and problems with the SAP6 so that has made me think twice.

I want to put a BFG 2 point sling on it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Corwin Arms just got these in;

Turkey just won't stop their battle to build the most hideous abortion of a shotgun lol. The current victor posted above, soon to be outdone by the next thing that looks like ### toys integrated into a kids toy gun but designed to fire live ammunition. Its like they tape a picture of a butthole to the wall and say "build it".

Hahaha You just cant argue with that. Thanks for the laugh..

After owning a Turkey made SAP6, I would recommend staying away from anything made their. Fabarm Pistola would be my recommendation for a short barrel shorty.

Fabarm 11" Pistola with stock or the hard to find STF-12 is a great choice or a 14" Fabarm/Rem/Moss/Benelli/custom job. Availability varies for each... My Mossy 14" 590A1 is 26.25" with a Raptor pistol grip and is 5+1.

Not going to recommend any gimmicky magfed/dual tube shotguns, too many bad reviews on them. Buy the tried and true design if you want reliability.

The KelTec and the UTAS have had reliability issues early on. I've read that they have cleared up. I've only handled and cycled them but never shot one. The one KelTec KSG I saw at a Shotgun match failed after 1 shot!
They are cool looking toys but in the end, they are still toys IMO.

I have owned the Keltec KSG, Dagger SAP6, and the Lever Arms LAK12 Puma. All have thier pros and cons. Quality wise, current models of the Sap6 and Ksg are tied, while the puma is of course much like the T97 in terms of quality as is to be expected of a Norc gun.

■KSG (Pump action, double tube-fed, bullpup shotgun)
+14 plus 1 or 12 plus 1 capacity
+shortest possible overall length while remaining non-restricted.
+choke options available
+good quality
+100% reliability with all ammo types.
-terrible location pf loading port (makes it uncompetitive in shooting sports which ultimately translates to real world use)

■SAP6 (Pump action, mag-fed, conventional shotgun)
+mag-fed allows super fast loading/reloading in terms of shotguns
+barrel options available (length and choke)
+mag options available (6 and 11 round mags)
+good quality
+100% reliability with mpst ammo, but beings mag fed you do need to watch
-the pump is spring assisted so you can not lock it back
-initial units had safety switch issue (resolved)
-really sharp trigger bow made for REALLY small hands (resolved)

■LAK12 Puma (Semi-auto, mag-fed, bullpup shotgun)
+Semi-auto allows quick shooting without having to pump each round
+mag-fed for quick loading/reloading
+bolt hold open and bolt release feature
+100% reliability with strong loads (slugs & buck)
-finding a target load that functions properly can be a pain
-safety is in the same ####ty location as the T97
-trigger feels like a half cooked noodle pushing a loaf of bread..... up hill
-semi-auto mag capacities apply, 5 rounds only
-can not choke
-polymer quality feels cheap and flimsy, factory left lots of flashing on the seams

As a defense role, I would pick the Sap6. As a competition role I am torn between the Sap6 and Puma.

As the best quality firearm I would pick the KSG.

If our laws allowed us to have a firearm stored loaded for self defense, the KSG would be the clear winner there. But since we are not, the sap 6 wins in my opinion due to the quick loading ability of the mag-fed design.

I bought a KSG and a Fabarm Martial 14". I'll try them both out and then decide.

What's the best way to mount a BFG 2 point sling on the Fabarm?

Holy grail of SBS is right here from Fabarm's LE/Mil line... Fabarm STF-12, 11" barrel and NR with fixed stock. Pure awesomeness... when they come in stock at TSE, they're gone almost immediately.

The highest quality non-r shorty shotguns on the Canadian market right now are DLask. But you won't have a lot of capacity with them, because they're tube fed.

Upside is they're made in Canada.

After owning a Turkey made SAP6, I would recommend staying away from anything made their. Fabarm Pistola would be my recommendation for a short barrel shorty.

So you would avoid buying a Weatherby? Because most of their shotguns are made in Turkey.

If one bad gun prevent me from buying anything from a given country, then all the multiple offences against quality and design made by Hi Point would prevent me from ever buying a gun made in the USA. Hell, with the sins against the almighty John Browning that Hi Point has committed, I would never buy ANYTHING from the US ever again.

Yes, that's what I wanted. Any idea how often these come in?
