Recommend A Stock - Remington M700 Varmint .22-250

Remington offered a nice laminated thumbhole in their varmint line up a while ago, do they not still offer it? I bought one in 22-250, 26" heavy stainless and the thumbhole a few years back, I quite like the stock. I put it on my 22-284 and put my 700 Ti stock on my 22-250. Both are excellent stocks, the Ti stock has a rubbery feel to it and I believe it is some type of carbon or glass fiber, it is not plastic.

Went ahead and ordered a Bell & Carlson M700 SA A2 Varmint stock, from Prophet River. Light tan with black webbing.

That's a great choice and a significant upgrade to your factory POS. The BC stocks are nice and solid and the webbing offers excellent texture/grip. Just inspect your barrel channel after you get everything together. Sometimes the inlets can be a little rough and/or crooked and need some material removed. Also make sure the mag well and trigger guard are fitting properly also as you might need to dremel a little here and there to make things perfect.

Here's the rifle in the new Bell & Carlson, the stock is darker colour than I expected, but I like it just the same.

I have a Bushnell Legend 4.5-14X 44mm scope coming for it. Gonna mount that in a Leupold one piece base and med rings.
