I'm thinking it's time to up grade from my cheapo harris style 6-9 bipod.

I'm running a Rem 700, with a Choate tac stock and shoot mostly from a bench (not level usually) but am going to get into shooting prone here pretty quick. All shooting will be done with a rear bag, but would like a good bipod.

What about the M-POD? I really like the look and design of it, would that one be good for a bench?

Thanks.

The bipod you choose is dependant on your shooting style. You pretty much hold firm, or let the rifle slide on recoil. Both styles have its fans. Even the cheapo Harris bipods work well occasionally at long range competitions. Depends on the driver behind the rifle.

Mystic Precision. They have a amazing bipod. Talk to Jerry there! He has a video on it somewhere. Looks great. If not, I'd go Harris. Tried and true.

I'm using an Mpod, without complaint. I'll be starting a new build in July and it will include it's own Mpod, sharing would just feel dirty. :D

x2 it depends on your style of shooting, if your more into somthing like "tactical" precission, a swivel harris does just fine, or upgrade to an atlas, want to shoot f class style then be looking at the Mpod or similar..

somthing like Jerrys bipod, im sure is very stable and grea to shoot off, but one will never find its way onto any of my current rifles as thats not the style of shooting i do

Thanks for the input guys. I'm leaning towards the mpod for now I think. Until I find a place to shoot other than the range I think it will serve me well.

I watched the owner of Star Shooter laying them down at Mansonville's 600 yd range earlier this month. Good guy and worthy of your support.

The bi-pod is from LR accuracy. it was originally designed for big bores 50 cals 408 cheytec. he started catering to the F class crowed. It is a solid bi-pod for hard holders.

here is a video.
