Recommend me an accurate .22

If I had 800$ to spend on a 22 I would buy a Cooey 60 and put a 600$ scope on it
Seriously in that budget make sure you spend at least half on the glass
 
Thanks for all the info everyone. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for a 452/453. It'll be at least another week before I can actually buy.
Also I was mistaken when I said it would have to be MOA at 50. Had a brain fart. 1"-1.5" at 50 I think I would be more than happy with.

Im still open to other suggestions. I'd be all over a T-bolt, but it seems none of them have iron sights. However, the Browing Buckmark has caught my eye.
Anyone here have any experience with one of these rifles?
 
I have heard good things about those older surplus Schultz and Larsen that come up regularly on the EE. They are quite inexpensive. As a amtter of fact, I just bought one and am waiting for it to arrive...

Any cheap Savage MKIIF or G can group 1.5 inches at 50 meters. My scoped MKIIF was able to shoot some MOA 5-shot groups (1 inch at 100 meters) with bulk Winchester Dynapoints. Of course not all the time, but she did it on a calm morning. Just saying your accuracy standard is not so high, and does not need 800$ rifles to achieve.

The F and G do have POS iron sights, so you need to invest in aftermarket ones. You could get two Savages for your 800. But really no pride of ownership with them, unlike with CZs.

I know it's not a crazy level of accuracy. Just saying that I'd be happy with a rifle that can shoot loonie size groups at 50 with mid level ammunition. For the type of shooting I do that would be more than sufficient.

Long story short. At one point My collection was over 20 firearms, and I've probably owned 40 differnt firearms over the years. Then for some one reason or another, I got out of the hobby, and sold every gun I owned. I put a lot of that money into music gear, and some other things.
So now I'm getting back into guns, and starting my collection over from scratch. I've already owned many of the standard issue American stuff, Ruger, savage, Henry, ect. But in the end they just weren't that special and I sold them all.
Now I want to collect art (if that makes any sense). But still have guns I'm not scared to take out and shoot.

In order of importance
-Build quality
-Aesthetics
-Accuracy

I have a CZ 453 Lux a beauty with for sure but I found out that I cannot do much with iron sights now that I am older. I will be sorry to see it sold but since I won't be shooting it then it has to go.
