Hi All

complete newbie to this , I have never reloaded before.

but I have the feeling I better start learning how to soon.

so any suggestions on a good book that will teach me how to and what gear I need to buy ?

Or maybe a good website with videos ?

any suggestion on which is good gear ?

I will be looking mainly at reloading 303 brit and 7.62x51, ( if it matters/relevant )

many thanks for any info/suggestions

Cheers

'ABC s of reloading' is a good beginners book. also get a reloading manual at minimum. then decide on equipment. some good kits out there for starters.

Almost any loading manual will give you a detailed rundown in the front. I say almost because I haven't read them all lol! Since you should have some on hand anyways, start off buying one and give it a read. Lyman or Lee are generally good all around ones. The brand specific ones if you're shooting their bullets.

britinbc, where are you located???

There is no better manual to learn to reload, than a "knowledgeable mentor"

Lots of good folks on this board that will be willing to help you out.

I've taught a few hundred to reload myself over the last five decades. Not difficult, you just need to pay attention to what you're doing and KEEP NOTES ON EVERYTHING pertaining to each individual rifle you intend to load for.

Put out your location and a plea for assistance. I'm sure you will get an appropriate reply.

Manuals are OK, but nothing works as well as eyeballs and hands on the process.

By the way, one manual really isn't enough.

I would suggest you start out with the latest LYMAN manual. It will have just about everything you're looking for on how to start and where to begin.

All the older ones did. I see newer versions seem to drop some of the basics. Varies by manufacturer though.- dan

Hey britinbc: I’m also in BC. Fraser Valley to be precise. 30+ years handloading experience. If you’re anywhere nearby, I’d be happy to help. Drop me a pm if you’re interested.
