Just impulsed bought a Norinco NP34. It was for 299$. So I said hey why not. Are the grips between a Sig 228 and the NP34 fully interchangeable? If so what ones would you recommend? I have average sized hands.

I just picked up KSD grips on Amazon for my DAC394 which is also a P228 clone.

You can use any P228/P229 grips, but some may require a little fitting. Grip screws might be the old skinny threads, which are hard to come by.

Don't know about compatibility of the Chinese clone with the original, but assuming the grips are 100%…

Sig Sauer's E2 conversion is an option. Don't like 'em, but maybe you do. Sig went with this update partly to make the P-series grip less fat, so if you find it fat, there you go.

Sig rosewood are pretty, they came on some of the Elite series. A little fatter than regular.

Hogue rubbery finger groove ones are out there, if you like Hogues.

Also from Hogue, the thin black aluminium ones, also on some Elite models. Slimmer than regular.

Heck go to the Hogueinc dotcom site, they got G10 as well, with aggressive checkering. And the Al models anodized in different colours.

I bought some legit SIG 228 grips for my NP34, no bueno, did not fit properly. Slightly to long, does not fit together quite right on the back.

Ive got Hogue grips on mine, have them on a few other pistols. They seem to withstand various climate and do not seem to degrade as quickly as some of the other brands of rubberized grips.
