Recommendations for T3 Sporter in .308

I am looking at purchasing the new edition of the Master Sporter-Tikka.
I would like some recommendations on glass.

My intent is to do some long range plinking... and, should a deer or moose get in the way(during open season)... well, thats not so bad!

My concerns are; Does buying long range glass necessarily mean giving up the bush hunt? and if not, what should I be looking at?

What do you mean by "long range plinking"?

It wil be tough to find a scope that will excell at both long range shooting and hunting the bush. You will have to comprimise then it will do neither job very well. Buy two scopes with good quick release rings is probably your best bet.

I find the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14 to be a good compromise for both target shooting and hunting.

OUCH! The sporter just went up almost 200$ at LeBaron. They must have known I was gunna pick one up. Just got a quote last week of 1735$ minus 10%(member discount) and now its up to 1900$!!

Go to a real dealer and give them your hard earned cash instead of LeBarons. Almost certain you will get much better customer service and probably better access to any accessories you may want or need. Last time I did a purchase through LeBarons, they sent me the wrong item (not even close!) and charged me for what I ordered, then blamed me when I tried to return it. I won't deal with them again!
