Hi Guys,

Like the title says, I am looking for a reasonably priced laser/flashlight combo for a 3.5 gen glock 17. The insights, etc. Are just way too expensive for what you get, IMO. I would like to know where to purchase one.

Thanks in advance :)

You can get a Streamlight TLR-2 from the states for around $210usd. Even with tax/shipping up here, it'd be less than $250CDN. I find the prices around here for the same to be $350 or more.

I like the idea, but I don't want to pay that much. Is there a knock-off that anyone knows of? I have an aimpoint clone and it works great!

Hey bud, just wanted to make sure your know that the rail on the glock is on a slightly upwards angle towards the muzzle.

Meaning

you have to crank most laser/light's down almost all the way to get it on target, especially the further away you get from your target

Most regular lasers will not be able to counter adjust to such an extreme angle. So you are forced to spend some money & get one designed for Glocks.

My personal suggestion & one of my wishes is to purchase a laser max internal lazer that replaces the spring guide.

This will also leave your accsessory rail free for you to attach a light.

It comes in green too :D

Thats pretty badass! How much does that run?

The words "affordable" and "laser/lite combo" do not go together real easily. You get what you pay for when it comes to laser/lite combos I'm afraid.....

I believe you, but the amount of use it will get doesn't justify a pro level rig. Any ideas on where to find the cheapies/knockoffs?

lights are too expensive, and really unless there's a power outage, I always have lights on. I'd rather get something more useful to put on the rail. Anyone make a coffee cup holder to fit a glock 21 rail?

Lasermax is more expensive than most under gun lasers. The new Surefire X400 is the way I'd go for a light/laser combo. Yeah it's a lot of money, but the knock off el cheapo lasers will cost you more in the long run, as you'll need to keep replacing them as they break.

x400 is nice but way too pricey for me. Where do I find these el cheapo lasers you speak of? The reason I have no problem with these is because the amount of times I will use it, and how fast I will get bored of it does not warrant a larger investment. Don't get me wrong, I understand what you are saying though.

the romance of the laser gets really old really fast. What we really should have is laser unit that is the cgn whore. sort of like the travelling pants movie. when somebody needs a fix of laser, the last person who has it sends it gratis except for shipping to the newb. They take a couple pictures with it, clear a few bedrooms, do a jack bauer pose, then send it on to the next newb...

=)
