Recommended mags for Para : Promag or Mec Gar?

I started IPSC in January and own a Para LTD 16-40. CTVSP told me that the original Para mags are prone to FTF problems due to the fact that these were basically designed as 16 rounds modified to 10 round for canada.

I must admit that I had FTF problems in both IPSC matches I have competed in. Fellow competitors advised me to go with Pro Mag or Mec Gar mags.

Comments? Where can I find these in Canada?

NO WAY...PRO MAGS SUCK!!

use the factory mags and get viper pads...then tune them for reliability!

I do have viper pads, although I've not tuned them . How do I do this?

Another whopping big - for Pro-Mags. They're junk.
Mec Gar are OEM for most manufacturers.

Use the Para 10 round factory mags. Throw away the plastic extension and use the viper aluminum extension instead of the plastic it should solve your problem.

I don't have Mec Gar mags for my Para but I do have them for my Sig 220 and they are of extremely excellent build and quality. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. Read too much negative stuff about Pro Mags to even consider giving them a look.
