Sorry for the newb question :

How can I know if a red dot will fit on my .22 rifle rail ?? and if I want to measure my rifle rail, is it a the bottom or the top of the rail ?

If the red dot has a 5/8" Weaver style rail. What it means ?
What is this measure ?

Thanks a lot !

(bad english I know !:p)

Rimfires are usually 3/8" so a 5/8" weaver will not work.
You can by an adapter to go from 3/8" to the Weaver size but it will add some height to your setup.
What kind of rifle?

What type of rimfire you got? The 10/22 & 597 from the factory have dove tail set-up but can easly be changed into a weaver setup by installing a new aftermarket rail.

These new mfg. rifles are fitted with adult-sized stocks (like our other Norinco .22 rifles) and feature forged and milled receiver dovetailed for standard .22 scope rings,
K, your choice's are limited to using a dovetail setup but you can get a red to work. This might work for your set-up and be cheap;

ok, I ask this question because I found a good price for a BSA STSRGBD30 red dot on the web but, I want to be sure I can fix it to my rifle.
