My first pistol (still a month away) is going to be a S&W M&P9. I am considering a red dot or similar aiming device for it.
However, I have no idea how it would be mounted. For instance, would the slide have to be machined or milled to accept the mount? Are there 'bolt on' mounts?
How much abuse would the red dot be taking on every shot....and how well would it maintain it's accuracy?
If you have such a setup on a M&P9 or similar handgun, I would surely appreciate a description or a pic or 2.
